| Q: What is your professional background? A: I have a varied history with various types of creation arts. I have several years of experience in 3D, including stints as an arch-vis modeler for school and Roseville Joint Union Highschool District Facilities Department. I was the founding president of my highschools 3d animation club. I also won the Animation Department Award in my senior year. I have 3 years of architectural 2d/3d drafting using AutoCAD and Inventor. I have 2 years of photo editing experience using Adobe Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS5-6. I am in the process of learning Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects, and Illustrator. Q:What is your artistic style? A: My style tends to be shiny and pristine looking. I really like the way things look when they are like that. While that may not lend itself to photorealism, that is my goal. Even with an arguably "too clean and shiny" style, some people have mistaken my work for photographs, and that delights me! I am always trying to enhance the realism of a piece, so I also hope to partially phase out the too clean style of mine. Q:What is your favorite sort of projects to take on? A: I love creating weapons, gemstones, and characters. My characters tend to be mostly women, and thats because thats what I love to create! If you look through my gallery, youll see that I seem to go through phases, from women, to weapons, to gemstones, to random things, and back again. Q:What software do you use? A: For 3D modeling, animating, rendering, etc: Autodesk Maya 2014 For 3D Rendering: Luxion Keyshot 4 For 2D everything: Adobe Photoshop CS6 For image editing: Lightroom 4/Photoshop CS6 For Video editing: Final Cut Pro X, After Effects CS6 For drafting: Autodesk AutoCAD 2012 Q:What hardware do you use? A: I use a 2006 Macbook Pro running OSX Lion. (10.7.5) 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4gb 667 GHz DDR2 ram NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256 MB Im currently working on funding a new, more powerful custom PC. Q:Tablet choice? A:I use a Wacom Intuos5 medium tablet with touch. I also use a trackball mouse when Im not using the tablet. |
